Job Summary/Description:
The Senior Product Owner (Sr. PO), Digital Sales Product, is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering high-impact capabilities that power Gray’s digital revenue growth. This role focuses on the products and platforms that enable digital advertising sales, campaign execution, sponsorship packaging, inventory visibility, and performance reporting across Gray’s digital ecosystem—including websites, mobile apps, connected TV (CTV), FAST, and emerging NextGen TV experiences.
This role bridges strategy and execution, ensuring Gray’s sales-related products deliver measurable value to advertisers, local sales teams, and station partners. The Sr. PO for Digital Sales Product will collaborate across Sales, Revenue Operations, Ad Operations, Analytics, and Engineering to translate business objectives into clear requirements and guide initiatives from discovery through launch and adoption.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and maintain a clear vision and roadmap for digital sales aligned with corporate digital strategy and revenue priorities.
- Partner with Sales, Ad Operations, and Digital Development to translate goals—such as revenue growth, yield optimization, sponsorship packaging, and first-party data enablement—into actionable initiatives.
- Identify workflow gaps across the sales lifecycle (pitch → proposal → trafficking →delivery → reporting) and drive scalable improvements.
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging capabilities (e.g., audience targeting, identity solutions, clean rooms, predictive forecasting, automation) to improve sales outcomes and advertiser performance.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Product & Program Management, and Digital Technology leadership to define strategic milestones and coordinate dependencies across the broader product portfolio.
Backlog & Delivery Management
- Own the product backlog and roadmap for sales-related initiatives, ensuring prioritization reflects business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Write detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to clearly communicate intent and value to engineering teams and stakeholders.
- Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release coordination across teams supporting ad tech, data, and digital platforms.
- Partner with QA and DevOps to support stable releases, platform reliability, and consistent implementation across brands and markets.
- Ensure delivered solutions are scalable across stations, reduce manual work, and improve speed-to-revenue.
