Position Summary: Loading and unloading a variety of trucks while safely operating forklifts and overhead cranes.  

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and ship items using our ERP system;
  • Keep track of shipment schedules for both incoming and outgoing shipments;
  • Ship parcels using UPS and FedEx software;
  • Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged;
  • Verify packages according to purchase order and pack slip;
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place;
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Experience / Skills:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record;
  • Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods and procedures;
  • Knowledge of shipping restrictions (heights, weights, widths, etc.);
  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Ability to maintain accurate records;
  • Skill in the use of computers, specifically in a PC, Windows-based operating environment;
  • Experience operating fork trucks and/or overhead cranes, safely;
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills; and
  • Able to keep work area clean and organized.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA STDS), ANSI (RIA) Standards. 

 

Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S):

  • Understand the Company’s EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job;
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
