About the role

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, the Store Manager, Magnolia Home is responsible for all aspects of their retail store including the execution of the retail strategy as it pertains to their store. The Store Manager will ensure all areas of the store are meeting key performance metrics while staying within budget. This role will also play an instrumental role in the professional development of their team to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position works from Magnolia Home in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Vice President of Retail and has supervisory responsibilities.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Facilitate successful trainings, performance and development meetings, and quarterly staff meetings 
  • Provide consistent coaching and feedback to hold teams accountable to results and KPI’s* 
  • Evaluate team member performance, both formally and informally* 
  • Lead by example by working on the sales floor a minimum of 3 days a week    
  • Give feedback and coaching in the moment to improve staff performance and guest experience 
  • Manage product inventory including cycle counts and inventory adjustments* 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Visual Merchandising and Coordinators to ensure visual displays are executed to standards 
  • Create quarterly plans to hit sales targets and labor hours targets; accurately track labor hours and expenses and report labor metrics to Vice President of Retail on a regular basis* 
  • Oversee staffing and hiring plans and ensure the business is properly staffed for optimal results* 
  • Work directly with Store Operations to execute marketing initiatives and events   
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

*Metrics evaluated on Performance Review

  • Hard skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. 

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required 
  • 1-3 years of management experience and/or 5+ years of related work experience or a combination preferred
