POSITION SUMMARY

This position will require valid CPR, Outdoor Emergency or CO certified-EMT, with completion of Basic Training within 60 days of start of season.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Administer first aid to injured individuals

• Respond to emergency situations at the ski area

• Responsible for skier education

• Responsible for assisting in patrolling the ski area boundaries

• Assist with clearing of ski lift areas as directed

• Assist with ski and boot packing of the ski area as directed

• Assist with sweeping of trails to ensure that all skiers are down at the end of the day

• Assist with crowd control as directed

• Must be knowledgeable of snowmobile safety and operating procedures

• Must ski in a safe manner

• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have had a full time position as a Ski Patroller at Steamboat Ski & Resort

• Must have advanced or higher skiing ability in all terrain in all conditions

• Must present proof of either of the following – Outdoor Emergency Care or Colorado certified EMT by Fall 2025

• Must be currently certified and present a valid up to date CPR for the Professional Rescuer card or currently enrolled in a class to get you those certifications.

• Must possess excellent public relations and communications skills as well as high level of friendliness

• Must handle stressful situations

• Adhere to all safety policies

• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range
