What You Will Do:

As a Sr. Production Test Engineer (PTE) you’re part of a manufacturing team supporting the test process though one or more phases of the product lifecycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production, and depot activities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Validating and ensuring prime hardware compliance with the technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment
  • Troubleshooting test failures and providing rework instructions for product hardware
  • Leading projects to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yields and capacity in test processes and maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package
  • Creating and maintaining spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan
  • Creating Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence
  • Leading root cause and corrective action investigations and presenting findings using fault trees and knowledge point plans
  • Performing risk assessments and supporting the program’s risk register reviews
  • Driving manufacturing changes through process change board and engineering configuration changes at configuration change board  
  • Validating all changes by conducting the prove-in validation process after the change is completed
  • Leading projects tracking progress and execution either as the (CAM) cost account manager or a member of the project team.

This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Redstone Arsenault, AL facility.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience. 
  • Experience with testing or manufacturing engineering.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
