Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship is required for this position.
The Day-to-Day:Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and create comprehensive test plans. Develop and maintain detailed test cases that cover functional, performance, security, and usability aspects of the platform. Execute test cases and document test results, ensuring thorough coverage of all planned testing scenarios. Identify, document, and track defects through the defect management process, including verifying fixes and regression testing. Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage. Conduct performance testing to assess the software's scalability and reliability under various load conditions. Work with our internal security team to perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and work with the development team to address them. Work closely with the Product lead and UI/UX team to evaluate the software's user interface for ease of use and adherence to design standards. Maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging QA trends to enhance the QA process continually.*This position is for part-time or full time employees*

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Quality Assurance Engineer in an enterprise software development environment.
  • Familiarity with testing of Python and React code.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Gitlab and Github Issues, Jira)
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
  • Ability to create comprehensive, clear, and reproducible bug reports.
  • Familiarity and experience with the AWS cloud platform
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Solutions Architect Associate credential or other Associate (In Progress acceptable)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in software quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Experience with performance testing tools.
  • Understanding of security testing principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
