Barcoder

Hours: 4:45 pm -5:15 am / 4 days on - 4 days off

Location: Plant City, FL

While reporting to the Warehouse Manager, as the Barcoder, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations.  Safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic are important to the Highland Packaging culture. 

What you will be doing:

• Print out orders running in the application and acquire a label from the lines to place on each order sheet as a sample check, and check for errors.
• Outgoing Barcoder brings the order sheets from their shift to the application manager’s office when leaving.
• Must match the work order number to the written order number on the pallet.
• Responsible for keeping the stretch wrapper and area clean and changing out rolls of stretch wrap. Blow the wrapper down daily to maintain the belt clean.
• Communicate with the shift lead in Shipping if there is any issue with the wrapper or with the orders.
• Must be able to push or pull pallets (with hydraulic pallet jack) weighing 500lbs to 1100lbs.
• Other duties as needed.
