POSITION PURPOSE:
Oversee the administration of contracts of subsidiary companies of in all Regions. The position works in coordination with the North Wind company President(s) and Regional Directors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as main point of contact between client and contractor to ensure communications follow established protocol.
- Ensure contract compliance and contract administration.
- Advise management of contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
- Manage, participate in and/or conduct contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Team with the Operations to monitor, assess and accurately report, both internally and externally, on project cost, schedule, risks and opportunities.
- Participate in proposal preparation with special emphasis on reviewing contract terms and risks, contributing to pricing strategy and assist with the development of mitigation strategies for proposal submittals.
- Review RFP requirements for contract risks, recommend appropriate exceptions/fall-back positions accordingly. Review, recommend and negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring North Wind protection in terms and conditions.
- Oversee the evaluation of contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
- Ensure communication is maintained for timely contract execution by the parties.
- Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
- Assist in training about contract practices and negotiations to company personnel.
- Be responsible for multiple task orders, contracts with varied contract types.
- Provide coordination with other departments as necessary in the preparation of responses to customer correspondence and other requests.
- Maintain close, professional interface with internal and external customer personnel (technical, administrative, and business).
- Effective and efficient contract management of assigned project(s) from project initiation through project closeout.
- Participation in strategic planning for specific projects to determine risk profile and perform bid/no bid analysis.
- Review, revise, and advise on customer contract terms and conditions to establish optimal contract position for company.
- Support project teams with Management of Change process during project execution.
- Lead in customer negotiations with Project Management.
- Ensure contract files are up-to-date and audit-ready with all contractual data, correspondence, and status.
- Work with internal customers (project managers, company presidents, etc.) ensuring all communication with external customers is concise and consistent from both technical and contractual requirements.
- Administer the preparation and delivery of customer required data and reports in compliance with contractual requirements; monitor status of day-to-day deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with schedules, specifications, legal requirements, and other contractual commitments.
