This role is ideal for a technical professional with hands-on experience in technical field roles (such as solutions architecture, pre-sales, or consulting).

Leveraging your technical field experience, you will design and scale innovative ways for technical field teams to build new product expertise, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to drive customer success. This includes creating comprehensive learning pathways, multi-modal learning, real-world use cases, with hands-on activities.  Working closely with technical field teams, enablement leaders, and product stakeholders, you will drive high-impact training programs that empower the field. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of technical enablement at Databricks.

  • Experience supporting and enabling technical audiences, with prior experience in a Pre-Sales capacity as a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct discovery with key stakeholders to identify enablement gaps and develop structured learning pathways that integrate instructor-led training, self-paced modules, hands-on labs, certifications, and competitions.
  • Develop a roadmap of enablement programs that aligns with product launch timelines and field objectives, ensuring content is high-impact, scalable, and consistently structured.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Field Engineering Leadership, and SMEs to incorporate real-world use cases, product updates, and best practices into training materials.
  • Oversee the development of technical enablement content, POC templates, demos, and hands-on workspaces, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and practical application.
  • Lead technical workshops, enablement sessions, and hands-on problem-solving exercises to reinforce deep product knowledge and confidence in the field.
  • Standardize methodologies for scoping, structuring, and delivering new product enablement materials to drive consistency, scalability, and impact.
  • Act as a trusted technical enablement advisor, advocating for the needs of the field and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance their technical capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical enablement, curriculum development, or related roles focused on technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of data and AI technologies, with hands-on experience using platforms like Databricks.
  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and delivering successful technical enablement programs.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior direct experience in a Pre-Sales role building POCs and technical solutions to support customer needs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
