Description

As a Full-Time Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in the daily care and well-being of the animals in our facility. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and safe environment, providing compassionate care, and collaborating with veterinarians to monitor the health of our furry clients. 

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:

• Animal Care: 
  • Feed, water, and monitor the health and behavior of animals
  • Walk dogs and provide exercise and playtime
  • Administer medications as directed by veterinarians
• Collaboration with Veterinarians: 
  • Assist veterinary staff during examinations and treatments as needed
  • Communicate any health or behavioral concerns to the veterinary team promptly
• Facility Maintenance: 
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces
  • Dispose of waste and maintain overall cleanliness
  • Ensure safety and comfort for all animals
• Customer Interaction:
  • Communicate with pet owners about their animals’ needs and well-being
  • Provide updates on services and respond to inquiries
• Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care, feeding schedules, and medications
  • Document any observations or changes in behavior or health
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation
  • Participate in training and team meetings as required

What You'll Bring:

• Passion for animals and a strong desire to provide excellent care
• Previous experience in animal care, veterinary assistance, or a related field preferred
• Ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes
• Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health
• Schedule: Full-time, including weekends and holidays as needed 
• References, background checks, and drug testing are required
