What You’ll Do

The Maintenance Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Maintenance Supervisors are:

In this position...

  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies.

  • Lead/ coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to: asset availability (mean time to repair, mean time between failure), and preventative maintenance.

  • Lead/coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in efficiently addressing corrective maintenance issues.

  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.

  • Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers.

  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively.

  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement.

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of supervisory experience

  • 1+ years of experience working on different types of equipment, and maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Safety and quality experience 

  • Maximo experience

  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified

  • Knowledge of constraint management principles  

  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce 

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (Allen Bradley RS logix 5000)

  • Fundamental working knowledge of robotics (Fanuc).
  • Fundamental working knowledge of sealer, mastic, and adhesive dispensing systems (SCA / Atlas Copco).
  • Fundamental working knowledge of self-pierced riveting systems (Henrob).
  • Fundamental working knowledge of bolt / nut runner applications (Atlas Copco).
