The Problems You'll Solve
At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. As an Executive Assistant, you’ll work to:
- Build trusted business partnerships with the CMO, their leadership team, and other key stakeholders across the business
- Understand how Carta operates and its core products and offerings. Know who is responsible for what, which teams are in which office and who our executives and senior leaders are
- Proactively and accurately manage heavy calendars for the CMO and assist the broader Marketing team with complex scheduling as needed
- Triage and reply to emails, Lattice tasks/Google comments and Slack channels as needed
- Plan and execute team meetings, events and offsites; including the coordination of agendas and materials, budgets, logistics, hospitality and more
- Assist with developing and maintaining deck content for marketing meetings, roadshows, and other presentations
- Plan and track marketing projects, ensuring alignment with yearly priorities and roadmap
- Book travel and process expenses timely; exercise good judgment and adhere our travel and expense policy
- Approve expenses, travel and time off requests for your Executive’s direct reports
- Maintain a pulse on the sentiment of the organization serving as a liaison between your Executive and their team
- Contribute to projects on the Executive Assistant team
The Team You'll Work With
We are looking for an Executive Assistant (‘EA’) to join our EA team and support our Chief Marketing Officer and their organization. This person will be a part of a centralized EA team, reporting into an EA Manager, and will work closely with our EA team, the Go To Market team, and the broader leadership team at Carta.
Carta’s EA team is small and wears many hats. We work both autonomously for our Executives - scheduling, meeting prep, travel, expenses and projects - but also collaborate as a team on broader projects such as events, offsites, hiring, training and best practices. We operate within a hybrid model, and sit in offices across New York, Sandy and San Francisco.
About You
You are a roll-up-your-sleeves, “get in the weeds,” individual that has experience supporting senior leaders in a fast paced startup environment. You are incredibly detail oriented, thoughtful, strategic, and proactive. You can block and tackle for your Executive and navigate ambiguity. You know how to find common ground with leadership and peers alike to build relationships. You are professional and eager to learn about the business, and collaborate with fellow EAs on impactful projects.
At Carta, you’re not just an employee. You’re a builder who is creating infrastructure that accelerates innovation and empowers more ownership. Cartans are helpful, relentless, unconventional and kind; representing Carta’s Identity Traits. They work collaboratively and cross functionally to challenge the status quo; working towards a common goal of creating more owners in the private markets.
We believe you will be successful in this role if you:
- 5+ years of Executive Assistant experience supporting a senior leader, preferably in marketing
- Heavy calendar management and travel experience
- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize on a daily basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to commute to our SF office 3 days per week (required)
Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: $131,750 - $155,000 in San Francisco. Final
