Job Description

The AI Application is a new team in Olympus’s Digital Health unit. This team focuses on creating an AI powered platform infrastructure and guidelines to deliver future CAD (computer aided detection) solutions. The Senior Product Designer will join our design team to drive outcomes by creating elegant user-centered product solutions. This person will work as a critical contributor to lead the research, user experience, and interface design of Olympus’s future CAD products. Working directly with a product manager, tech lead, and a team of engineers, this employee will work strategically and hands-on to drive outcomes for this new product.

Job Duties

Work strategically as a partner with product management, engineering, and design leadership to define and design our next generation CAD/AI platform.
Think big, and explore divergent concepts while understanding how to converge and build iteratively towards a vision.
Create high-quality mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate your work.
Lead and conduct user research and data analysis to inform design decisions and ensure user-centered solutions.
Advocate for design by sharing your work and presenting cross-functionally. Be able to precisely articulate design rationale and goals.
Inspire the Digital Health team and our internal partners by bringing innovative ideas to the table and defining next-generation interfaces and user experiences.
Lead workshops, brainstorming sessions, and other design thinking exercises.
Mentor, coach, and support other designer on the team to maximize their usage of human-centered design principals.
Provide feedback and guidance to other designers during weekly design critiques.
Help shape the culture of a growing design team.
Help lead innovation across the organization by driving the adoption of user-centered processes, methodologies, and tools.

Job Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in User Experience, Design, or related field required.
Minimum of 4 years of experience working in UX/product design field.
Minimum of 3 years experience designing user-centered responsive web applications.
Minimum of 3 years experience designing across multiple platforms (Web, Mobile, Embedded, etc.).
Travel required (US and International).
Availability to attend meeting with team members spread out around the globe

Preferred:

Experience with Human Factors Engineering
Experience designing SaMD products
Highly proficient with current design and prototyping tools (Figma).
Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
Excellence in visual design craft.
Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, cross-functional team.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

** The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is $115,000 to $161,000, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position, including level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
