Description
The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Data Analytics beginning August 2027.
Responsibilities include teaching nine credit hours per semester, conducting research leading to quality refereed journal publications and conference presentations, and providing service at the Department, College, and/or University level. The Gary W. Rollins College of Business at UTC has long-standing AACSB accreditation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, serves approximately 2,400 students, and has a highly productive, collegial faculty.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who apply before September 15, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess, or complete by August 2027, a doctoral degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited business school, as well as demonstrated potential for high-quality scholarly research.
Applicants should also have demonstrated teaching ability in undergraduate and/or graduate courses using a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction.
Primary teaching responsibilities are expected to include undergraduate and graduate courses in Database Management Systems, Data Warehousing, Big Data Technologies, and related data engineering topics. Experience or interest in teaching courses in Artificial Intelligence, programming, and other areas of data analytics is desirable.
