Job Description
What you'll be doing
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be focusing on being the liaison between our product, UX, project management, and technology teams. You will have the opportunity to learn all facets of our products, but be deeply focused on requirements, documentation, and quality of the products we are bringing to our members.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct meetings with business units to define the detailed business requirements or technical requirements for solutions. Determine solution feasibility and establishes project perimeters and objectives.
- Prepare documentation for business requirements, functional requirements, system design documents, and technical specifications and obtain business or IT approval.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to document conceptual systems designs with data and process flows. Consolidate all supporting business requirements documentation for the project and facilitate approval of solution designs.
- Participate and in some cases lead Agile ceremonies.
- Focus on continuously delivering business & technical value, involving different stakeholders and 3rd party vendors when required.
- Lead internal investigation and resolution of digital operational issues affecting our customer's experience.
- Lead weekly meetings with key stakeholders to complete requirements refinement, backlog grooming, legal and compliance review, UXR and design reviews, and engineering documentation and support.
- Manage day-to-day collaboration and documentation activities while capturing everything in the necessary project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana)
- Deliver feature expansion by collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
- Identify dependencies, impediments, and blockers ahead of time and escalate those issues to senior product leadership.
- Drive outcomes, deliver quality, communicate cross functionally, recommend solutions to complex challenges, while becoming an expert on our platform and product capabilities.
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- Previous experience within a progressive, results oriented, growth company. Domain expertise from the FinTech segment, financial institution, or service provider in a D2C environment is desired.
- 2-5 years experience in managing, operating and or launching consumer financial products.
- Previous experience with key product management and business analyst functions, including writing requirements user stories, creating mocks/wireframes, product planning and reporting for large scale, innovative consumer facing applications, preferably in the payments or financial product space.
- Accustomed to building product in a modern, mobile-first approach with heavy emphasis on intuitive Design, UI, UX and Customer Journey.
- Personal Attributes: Likes to be challenged, understands the value of clear communication and documentation, can empathize with our customers, analytical and ability to evaluate tradeoffs, team builder who can flow between business and technical topics with ease.
- Knowledgeable about agile project management, software delivery, rituals, cadence, inputs, outputs.
- Have a strong eye for design and understand UX best practices along with trends in the payments, credit, and fintech industries.
