Job Title: Light Maintenance Facilities Technician
Department: Property Maintenance

Status: FT Year Round Hourly

Reporting To: Maintenance Manager


Position Overview:


The Light Facilities Technician supports the day-to-day upkeep of Powder Mountain facilities through general maintenance, minor repairs, and preventative tasks. This role is ideal for a skilled handyman or woman who can work independently, respond to service tickets, and support seasonal changeovers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor repairs (lighting, door hardware, filters, painting, basic plumbing)
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance in lodges and offices
  • Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with snow/ice removal and seasonal transitions (summer to winter ops)
  • Support cleanliness, safety, and daily readiness of guest-facing facilities
  • Communicate needs and issues to coordinators for escalation

Requirements and/or Qualifications:

  • 2+ years hands-on maintenance or building operations experience
  • Basic electrical and plumbing familiarity (non-licensed work)
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow a structured daily plan
  • Comfortable using work order management apps or digital logs Limble experience is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required; trade school a plus

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to: 

  • Full range of body movements 
  • Reach, push, pull, lift, and carry objects that may be heavy (50lbs) 
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and twisting 
  • Must have command of senses – sight, hearing, touch, and smell 
  • Vision requirements – close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception 
  • Walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain 
  • Climb/descend stairs/ladders 
  • Manual dexterity to operate manual tools and power equipment on a constant basis 
  • Safely handle hazardous materials
