Assistant IT Director (Resorts/ Hospitality Experience)

Position Overview: 
The Assistant IT Director will assist in managing the IT operations and infrastructure for our resort/cruise line. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, with specific experience in the hospitality or cruise industry. This role will support the IT Director in ensuring that all technology systems and services are running efficiently and securely, providing a high level of service to both guests and staff.

Responsibilities:

• IT Operations Management:
• Assist the IT Director in overseeing the daily operations of the IT department.
• Ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Coordinate with various departments to understand and fulfill their IT needs.
• Infrastructure and Security:
• Help maintain and improve the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and databases.
• Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Project Management:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to acquire and implement new technologies.
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and support IT staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Assist in performance evaluations and professional development plans for IT personnel.
• Guest and Staff Support:
• Ensure a high level of IT support is provided to both guests and staff.
• Develop and implement user training programs to improve technology use and efficiency.
• Handle escalated IT issues and provide solutions promptly.
• Strategic Planning:
• Participate in the development and implementation of IT strategies and goals.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the IT department.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements in the hospitality and cruise industry.
