This is where YOU fit in: As the Maintenance Worker to answer the call; a team player who is dedicated to supporting our local Naval community, and operational successes on a day-to-day basis. You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the upkeep and repair of the Lodge facility. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families.

So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

• Conducts preventative maintenance and takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment.
• Performs general carpentry, painting & plumbing tasks involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance on washers, dryers and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).
• Follows all local safety regulations. Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions.
• Perform tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment.
• NEXCOM Hospitality Group (NHG) guest rooms, etc. Typical assignments include painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs etc.

The Qualifiers:

• Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.
• Is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions.
• Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted.
• Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal & background check.
• Be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
