About the role

We are hiring for a Chief of Staff position with Providence Health System Alaska in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full time, 1.0 FTE, Day shift, Monday-Friday, core business hours, 40 hours per week; flexibility required to support the business outside of core hours.

The Chief of Staff (Principal Program Manager) operates as a strategic partner for the Chief Executive (CE) and the executive leadership team providing strategic and operational leadership, direction and support.  This role is an active member of the Executive Leadership team ensuring effective and efficient leadership operations.  This position provides advice to the CE to anchor alignment, accelerate decisions, and strengthen success.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare / Business Administration, Information Technologies, Project Management, or a Clinical field or equivalent educational/experience
  • 8 years of experience managing and progressing projects/initiatives, required to effectively and efficiently operate a large-scale complex organization, including data analysis, management, and presentation.
  • Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
  • Experience incorporating process improvement methodologies.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in related field.
  • Coursework/Training: Formal training in Program Management.
  • Coursework/Training: Change Acceleration Process (CAP), Workout and Lean education training.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute upon hire.
  • Certifications in Process Optimization (i.e., Six Sigma, LEAN, CQIA, or other nationally recognized certifications) upon hire.
  • Experienced in vendor / contract management and negotiations
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and/or strategic and tactical planning and execution including marketing, communications and financial planning.
  • Demonstrated experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings.
  • Experience developing and implementing benchmarks and metrics in support of improved quality and process design.
