Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will support the Parsons Universal Modeling & Analysis (PUMA) Lab. You will be enhancing the Parsons Digital Engineering Framework (PDEF) through improving our current capabilities (e.g., Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Business Intelligence, and Data Federation) and integration of applications based on customer needs (simulation applications, data repositories, modeling applications, etc.). Our team seeks a senior level engineer with significant related (software development, systems engineering, and data engineering) experience, while also being comfortable in the SAFe Agile environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work in an agile environment to enhance the development of the Parsons Digital Engineering Framework
- Develop databases and repositories for trade study outputs and simulation inputs (Data Federates) -- Including sandboxes and authoritative sources of truth
- Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data – performing ELT for analysis and visualization
- Develop algorithms for predictive analytics and natural language processing
- Develop predictive analytic algorithms and big data management
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- Masters degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related field
- 5+ years of combined experience in data engineering, Systems Engineering, artificial intelligence, and software engineering
- 5+ years of extensive experience in researching new technologies and applications (e.g., PhD research)
- Teaching Experience
- Skills / Tools:
- Python, TensorFlow, C#, Java, MATLAB, & Visual Basics
- Git, Docker, Linux, & Cuda
- Hadoop, MongoDB, PowerBI
- Azure
What Desired Skills You Might Bring:
- Able to develop process for distributing operations on GPU for multicore supercomputing
- Familiar with ANSYS suite of Simulation Tools
