About the role
Role Summary:The Salesforce Technical Manager is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for the design, development, and delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade Salesforce solutions. In addition to deep technical expertise across the Salesforce platform and ecosystem, this role demands strong program management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor oversight. The ideal candidate will lead a globally distributed development team—including offshore resources —while partnering with business stakeholders to ensure that technical execution aligns with Topgolf’s strategic objectives. Success in this role requires a combination of Salesforce mastery, Agile leadership, and the ability to manage & deliver complex initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Salesforce Operations team supporting Topgolf Event Sales Salesforce platform serving 1200+ users for 100+ Venues across US and UK.
- Manage and mentor a distributed Salesforce development team, with a focus on effective offshore collaboration, knowledge sharing, and delivery consistency
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex system requirements into actionable project plans and clearly communicating technical solutions
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement
- Oversee project progress and performance, proactively identifying risks, resolving blockers, and ensuring delivery within scope & timelines
- Coordinate with developers, testers, and product owners to ensure features are delivered with high quality and in alignment with stakeholders requirements
- Apply a deep understanding of CRM principles (Sales, Service, Experience Clouds) and best practices to design scalable, user-centric Salesforce solutions that align with Sales business objectives
- Translate business needs into technical specifications using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Champion Agile methodologies and lead technology implementations for enterprise-scale environments
- Ensure adherence to platform governance, coding standards, and CI/CD best practices
- Support integration efforts with key platforms (POS, reservations, loyalty programs, etc.) using Mulesoft or similar technologies
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, fostering alignment and shared understanding across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
- 10+ years of experience in technology industry in high-growth, fast-paced industries
- 7–10 years of Salesforce experience (Must), with expertise in platform customization, development, and architecture of Sales, Service, Experience Clouds, Marketing cloud experience is nice to have.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing onshore/offshore development teams
- Proven ability to lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise Salesforce solutions in Agile environments
- Deep expertise in Salesforce development technologies including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Proficient in Salesforce declarative capabilities such as Flows, Workflow Rules, Process Builder, and Validation Rules
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, security architecture, sharing rules, and platform governance
- Experience with integration technologies and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, and familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming and design principles
- Experience working in SOX-compliant and highly regulated enterprise environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of technical and business stakeholders
- Proven ability to build and mentor high-performing technology teams with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement
- Experience in B2C, hospitality, or entertainment industries highly preferred
- Passion for golf is Highly preferred
