Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated HVAC/BAS (Building Automation Systems) Project Manager to lead and manage commercial and industrial HVAC/BAS projects while also supporting the sales team with estimating. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and sales acumen to ensure successful project execution and accurate cost estimation.
The ideal candidate will oversee projects from inception to completion, coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors, and ensure that all HVAC and BAS systems are installed and function correctly. Additionally, they will collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate estimates, assist in bid proposals, and develop cost-effective solutions for clients.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

Project Management
•    Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial and industrial HVAC/BAS projects.
•    Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure profitability and timely completion.
•    Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project flow.
•    Conduct site visits to assess project progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality control.
•    Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
•    Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.
•    Handle procurement and logistics of materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability.
 

Estimating & Sales Support
•    Work closely with the sales team to create estimates for turnkey design build HVAC and Controls retrofit projects based on HVAC fundamentals.
•    Perform HVAC/BAS system take-offs, cost analysis, and labor/material estimations.
•    Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide value-engineering recommendations.
•    Develop pricing strategies and competitive estimates based on market trends.
•    Assist in presenting estimates and proposals to clients and decision-makers.
•    Maintain and update estimating templates, pricing databases, and cost tracking tools.
 

Additional Duties 
•    Stay up to date with the latest HVAC/BAS technologies, industry standards, and market conditions.
•    Support business development efforts by fostering relationships with clients and industry partners.
 

Qualifications & Skills:
•    5+ years of experience in HVAC/BAS project management, estimating, or a related role.
•    Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, building automation controls, and mechanical systems.
•    Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
•    Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
•    Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
