Position: Full-Time Retail Cashier (Premium Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:45 AM – 3:30 PM)
Location: Peltz Shoes University Park

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer First Impression: Greet customers warmly and professionally, ensuring they feel valued and welcome.
• Customer Checkout: Provide fast, efficient, and accurate checkout service, handling cash, credit card, and gift card payments. Ensure transactions are properly assigned to the correct salesperson for tracking and accountability.
• Customer Returns & Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges according to company policies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Cash Accuracy: Maintain an accurate cash drawer, providing correct change to customers.
• Store Presentation & Merchandising: Keep the cashier area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Assist with restocking merchandise and ensuring the store displays are neat and visually appealing.
• Promotions & Marketing: Stay informed about store promotions, sales, product offerings, and the Peltz Perks rewards program to assist customers with inquiries.
• Loyalty Program Engagement: Actively encourage customers to sign up for Peltz Perks, explaining the benefits and assisting with the registration process. Assist customers in managing their Peltz Perks accounts, including checking balances, redeeming rewards, and using points for discounts. Promote Peltz Perks during checkout and suggest how customers can maximize their rewards. Engage customers with the value of the program to encourage continued participation.
• Profit & Goals: Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and drive customer engagement.
• Operations Support: Assist with store opening and closing procedures, ensuring store security and adherence to company policies.
• Other Tasks: Complete all tasks and assignments from the management team in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or cashier experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy periods.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle cash and payments accurately.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
