About the Job

Offensive Security seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Content Developer to join our global team. This role demands deep cybersecurity expertise, hands-on lab development proficiency, and advanced technical content creation to drive the development of engaging, real-world online courses and certifications.

 

As a senior team member, you will play a key role in shaping high-impact training content, leading complex projects, and mentoring junior content developers. Success in this role requires expert-level problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and proactively. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across content, infrastructure, and engineering to ensure seamless integration of hands-on labs and training material.

 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with cybersecurity certifications and hands-on technical training as well as proficiency in learning design principles. You should be comfortable designing, testing, and refining virtual lab environments while working across a broad and deep range of cybersecurity topics. In addition to penetration testing, we are particularly interested in candidates with deep domain expertise in the following areas: cloud, LLMs, DF|IR|TH, mobile security, OT

 

Duties and responsibilities

Content Development

  • Lead the design and development of advanced cybersecurity learning content, emphasizing real-world, hands-on experiences while ensuring accessibility across skill levels.
  • Provide technical leadership and peer mentorship, reviewing and refining learning materials for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with learning objectives, incorporating stakeholder feedback and industry best practices.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure the seamless integration of hands-on labs, content updates, and learning material revisions, proactively identifying and addressing challenges in the development pipeline.

Content Engineering

  • Partner with content architects and oversee the development of complex cybersecurity training environments and simulations, utilizing virtual machines, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools to enhance the learner experience.
  • Develop and refine detailed build guides for virtual machine environments, working closely with engineers to implement, test, and iteratively enhance labs for technical accuracy and seamless integration with learning platforms.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for troubleshooting lab integration and functionality issues, collaborating with infrastructure and platform teams to enhance stability, usability, and automation within training environments.

Applied Technical Expertise

  • Design highly realistic, scenario-based security challenges, integrating cutting-edge attack techniques and modern defensive strategies into immersive training environments.
  • Lead content validation and quality assurance efforts, leveraging expertise in penetration testing, incident response, and digital forensics to refine technical accuracy and enhance learning impact.
  • Continuously research and integrate emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and adversarial tactics into training content, ensuring learners remain prepared for evolving cybersecurity challenges.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience in cybersecurity, VM creation, and content development, with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor in these areas.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Active Directory attacks, including enumeration, privilege escalation, lateral movement, and persistence techniques.
