TITLE: Senior Manager, Engineering
Duties: Lead software application development teams and work in iterative sprints to drive the design, development and testing of software solutions. Build automation and tests to streamline software code to cash pipeline. Refactor new and legacy software code and work towards eliminating technical debt. Collaborate with agile teams to identify approach, dependencies, tasks and seek opportunities for automation. Lead training and Communities of Practice and stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends. Design, develop and consume RESTful, SOAP,
and GraphQL based web services for mission critical, high volume software systems. Develop and leverage latest software design patterns, principles and technology. Apply proficient understanding of code versioning tools, including Git, to write clean, readable and easily maintainable code. Build scalable and highly available software applications, understanding fundamental software design principles. Support and develop automated software testing platforms. Support full software development life cycle, applying knowledge of Agile methodologies. Develop reusable software platforms and libraries. Hybrid work permitted up to 3 days per week within reasonable commuting distance of the Indianapolis, Indiana Office.
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
LOCATION: SMB IT, Inc., 8425 Woodfield Crossing Blvd. Floor 5th East, Indianapolis, IN 46240
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer, Information Technology Consultant, Information Technology Associate, Software Engineer, Software Programmer, or closely related occupation. Also requires experience in the following:
- 5 years overall development experience with a good foundation in OOP;
- 5 years experience with HTML, CSS, and/or Javascript (JS);
- 5 years with C#/.NET Application design and development;
- 5 years building/consuming Web Services (SOAP or REST);
- 5 years working with Relational Databases, Data Modeling and SQL; and
- 2 years working in Cloud Native Development (i.e AWS, GCP, Azure).
