Who will you be working with?

L&M Radiator, Inc. is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor or MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom-made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction, and heavy industrial industries. This position will assemble and distribute blueprint packets to vendors, distribute updated and correct blueprints to assembly, welders, and outside vendors. This position reports to the Production Coordinator and works with members of the production team, department supervisors and outside vendors.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the production team, this role is responsible for verifying that production and vendors have the most accurate and up to date blueprint packets by preset deadlines. The Production Assistant is vital to the L&M Radiator team and steady flow of production by reviewing work orders and prints accurately and efficiently.   

What do we want to know about you?

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months related experience in manufacturing setting

What will your typical day look like?

• Accurately enter part numbers into system.
• Process work orders and prepare for production distribution by deadline.
• Ensure production has packets in advance and are sent in.
• Review “Hit” list for schedule.
• Organize packets of work orders and prints as per department specifications.
• Check sales orders for accuracy.
• In the absence of Production Support Assistant performs assistant’s job tasks.

• (May) Closes work orders.
• (May) Prepare prints for production.
• Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines and procedure.
• Perform related work as required by supervisor.
• Manage fixture inventory.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required for Entry Level:

• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Proficient data entry skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Ability to communicate, in English, effectively and clearly by both written and verbal means.
• Demonstrate maturity, intelligence, cooperation, and discretion.
• Work effectively with fellow employees and independently.
• Dependability under both supervised and unsupervised conditions.
• Willingness to train in all areas.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug and background test.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system.

Experience in Lean Manufacturing

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
