About the role

Description

The field auditor position is responsible for counting all physical store inventories, company fixed assets and supplies, generating department audit reports, reconciling computer data with the physical counts taken and reporting on errors found. The position also requires work with management to control inventory loss, and performs other duties as assigned like recount deli inventory if a store has issues with shrink.


Duties and Responsibilities

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

· Manage Audits on a day-to-day basis.

· Perform store retail, asset, cost audits and cycle counts.

· Research item discrepancies during audits.

· Report any item discrepancies to Auditor Supervisor.

· Work with vendors directly during the audits

· Take care of the company assets like Company Truck, Laptop, HHs etc.

· Travel for audits as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

· Experience in inventory counting.

· Experience with software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Experience with retail management software.

· High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

· Positive, can-do attitude and true ownership mentality.

· Ability to remain standing for hours at a time, be able to kneel, bend, stoop, work outdoors, use safety ladders, and lift over 50lbs.

· Must be able to follow state, federal and company guidelines.

· Work Monday-Friday schedules and travel every two weeks out of town or when it is necessary.

· High attention to detail with proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

· Positive, can-do attitude and true ownership mentality.

· High energy and strong work ethic. Self-motivated to achieve excellence.

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.


Ability for Driving

· The person must have a current driver license with no major offense (At least one year with it).


Education

The position requires the following educational experience:

· Graduated from High School.

· A College degree is not necessary.


 

Work Environment

  • Work is performed primarily inside a retail store. There will be daily driving and occasionally may work in an outdoor environment.
