HUMAN RESOURCES/PAYROLL CLERK

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources/Payroll Clerk to manage payroll processing, maintain employee records, and assist with various HR functions. The role also includes processing raw material receipts in Oracle and supporting finance tasks. A high level of confidentiality and strong time management skills are essential to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory deductions, pension contributions, and union dues.
• Maintain employee records, including vacation, sick leave, and benefits enrollments.
• Prepare required filings for PAYE, HSUR, TD4 forms, and process claims.
• Assist with ad-hoc HR and payroll reporting tasks.
• Process raw material receipts and assist with related finance duties.
• Support other finance and HR-related functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• At least 5 years of payroll processing and HR Department experience.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with payroll systems, and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Oracle or similar systems for raw material receipt processing is an asset.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Well-developed organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
