What You Will Do:
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Junior Project Manager to provide support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Office of National Continuity Programs (ONCP). As the Junior Project Manager, you will play a critical role in assisting the senior project manager across the full range of project management tasks related to continuity communications, ensuring their successful execution and delivery. Tasks include:

  • Assist management in developing performance metrics, data visualizations, and status reports for stakeholders

  • Monitor project performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including FEMA personnel, partners, and contractors.

  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities while supporting the various process owners

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct regular communication and progress meetings with senior project management, providing updates on project status and risks.

  •  Identify and communicate potential roadblocks. Work with the Program Manager to eliminate roadblocks

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify data required and inform of missing data needed to complete projects

  • Establish and enforce project quality standards, ensuring deliverables meet defined requirements and expectations.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation and efficiency in project management practices.

  • Assist Senior Manager(s), Director(s), and others in various projects, as needed

  • Other specific duties as assigned


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Ability to work full-time at client site in Washington D.C.

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in a government or disaster management context.

  • Be proactive and highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow through with the ability to handle multiple, complex tasks, and establish priorities

  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment.

  • Capacity to work independently without significant guidance and be able to exercise good judgment, taking the initiative when necessary

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Familiarity with FEMA policies, guidelines, and continuity programs is highly desirable.
