Position Overview:

 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Oncology team. In this role, you will support the Nurse Manager in overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring a supportive and collaborative environment for both patients and staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse leader to grow within a dynamic and rewarding specialty. 

 

 Key Responsibilities:

 - Assist in managing daily operations of the Oncology unit, ensuring efficient and effective patient care delivery.

 - Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.

 - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for oncology patients. 

 - Monitor patient outcomes and ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and protocols.

 - Mentor and coach nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development. 

 - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies. 

 - Act as a resource for patients and families, offering education and emotional support throughout their cancer journey.

Current RN license in the state of New Jersey.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in an oncology setting. 

Prior leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred. 

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oncology treatments, including chemotherapy administration.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 

BLS and ACLS certifications required; 

OCN certification preferred.
