Job Summary
The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing and supporting all production related activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Dispatch to generate and distribute daily production schedules to achieve delivery commitments.
- Utilize ERP system capabilities for production scheduling. Create and verifying Bills-of-Materials for standard and custom products.
- Communicate production lead times to all levels of the organization.
- Schedule all stock and custom products based on form capacity, man power availability and min/max inventory levels.
- Periodically review Min/Max inventory levels and adjust based on sales history
- Coordinate the movement of stock inventory to the appropriate plant location or distribution center with Dispatch.
- Identify potential material shortages and take appropriate action to minimize their effect.
- Establish inventory cycle counting process for raw materials and finished goods inventories. Participate in the physical inventory process.
- Lead weekly sales & operations planning meetings.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of two years manufacturing experience, preferably in the precast concrete industry.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization.
- Experience with change management initiatives related to processes and procedures to achieve desired results.
- Customer focus; dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with MRP, production scheduling, inventory control.
- Ability to plan work and successfully implement programs through the direction of others.
- Ability to read and understand shop/engineering drawings.
Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is $29-$35/hr
