Summary / Role Purpose
The Systems Administrator contributes to the business by providing reactive user and system support. This role operates within given policies and procedures, including the relevant Ansys Quality System procedures, but has a reasonable amount of discretion to take independent action. The focus for roles at this level will be to assist in the effective delivery of IT support and contribute on global teams.
This position is based in Exton, PA and it is not elibigle for immigration sponsorship.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs basic installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks for Windows and/or Linux systems using standard deployment and management methods; also tracking and documenting as required
- Resolves support requests for workstations, servers, application software, phone systems issues
- Troubleshoots and assists with diagnosing common network and systems issues
- Manages desktop configurations and verifying patch management levels across the enterprise
- Provides desktop support via telephone, chat, remote session, or in-person for local sites
- Works in large distributed international teams
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- Associate degree
- Ability to demonstrate technical problem solving skills
- Knowledge of computer system fundamentals
- Aptitude for customer service
- Strong organizational skills
- United States Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Security Clearance (or the ability and willingness to obtain them)
