What You’ll Do
Summary/Objective:
This team member will work directly with their team and Manager, completing tasks and assignments related to products or applications of Atlassian product suite including JIRA, Confluence, Analytics, Assets, Product Data Manager etc., as well as would be involved in some of the common IT Service Management activities, which may be related to the credit union’s process, procedures, and systems. Working with the greater Information Technology teams and organizational Business Areas, to ensure service delivery by implementing, leveraging the best practices in existing and current processes and configurations throughout the organization.

- Function as a subject matter expert (SME) through repeated successful collaboration with business teams.
- Create, manage all administrative functions associated with the Atlassian product suite including Jira Software on the Cloud, Confluence and Bitbucket
- Accountable for all Jira UI Admin tasks like project creation, team/board creation, custom fields, custom field values, reports, workflows, issue types, screen schemes, permission schemes.
- Drive the efforts by working closely with the scrum master’s and program managers with process standardization.
- Drive Major incidents and Problem Management pertaining to Atlassian issues happening within DCU environment.
- Create training materials and conduct user-training and help-sessions for new and existing custom features and implementations.
- Responsible to improve efficiency by optimizing JIRA/Confluence setup and workflows, as well as identify where functionality needs to improve to meet user requests.
- Role of a point of contact with Atlassian vendor, for any technical assistance as well as assist in new contracts and renewals etc.,
- Promote adoption and standard processes among the Atlassian user community.
- Drive the efforts for major rollout of comprehensive workflows (with conditions, validators, and triggered post functions), screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes Refine current Jira processes to be more streamline and uniform for agile teams.
- Responsible for increasing the efficiency by develop mechanisms to automate manual processes.
- Provide JIRA domain expertise in discussions regarding governance within JIRA.
- Expertise REST API, JQL, AQL, Forge development, JIRA APIs and webhooks.
- Create Jira based reports, dashboards and planning views based on different user requirements and provide partners with actionable project metrics and status reports
- Create and maintain technical and/or user facing documentation for training
- Stay ahead of on industry trends that evolve the frameworks and methods to continuously improve our ability to deliver value.
- Drive consistent use of tools in alignment with guidelines across the organization.
- Champion modern methodologies such as Agile, DevOps and related practices
- Define & establish the Technology organizations tools that enable and support the delivery methodology frameworks.
- Establish & drive cross company partnerships to enable adoption and support growing the organization's maturity.
- Define and establish processes and guidelines for delivery tools for agile.
- Educate and assist the Technology organization on the use of the tools and guidelines.
- Review and approve the Standard operating procedures for repetitive activities.
What You’ll Need
- 3-5 years of Atlassian suite of products and applications development and administrative experience including JIRA, Confluence, Analytics, Assets, Product Data Manager tool, Automation, Script Runner etc.,
- Overall, 5-7 years of experience in Information Technology Field.
- Exposure to Project Management, Risk, SDLC, Agile, Financial Institution related activities, Regulatory requirements, and Security controls.
- Expertise REST API, JQL, AQL, Forge development, JIRA APIs and webhooks
- Understanding and hands-on experience in Cloud computing environments, Databases, Servers etc.,
- Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, documentation, verbal, written communication skills.
