Position Title:            Software Principal Engineer- Event Streaming

Location:                    1 W Elm Street, Suite 200, Conshohocken, PA 19428

Hours:                        40 hours per week

Telecommuting:        100% telecommuting is permitted from any location in the U.S

Travel:                        10% domestic travel required

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software according to Agile methodologies. Design, architect, and implement highly scalable features for Boomi’s Event Streams product. Work with product management, other engineering teams, customer success and support to ensure requirements are clear and in alignment with the long-term vision of Boomi’s products. Review code written by peers and suggest areas of improvements. Manage technical debts in assigned areas to minimize long-term risks. Participate in the full software development lifecycle. Guide and participate in design, development, unit testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and resolution of any issues. Investigate and resolve complex customer issues. Work independently with a minimal level of guidance from technical leadership. Mentor other Boomi engineers, including design collaboration and code reviews. Research, validate, and recommend technology decisions for new features.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalency in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, or a related position.

Alternatively, Master’s degree, or foreign equivalency in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Developer, Programmer Analyst, or a related position.

Must have demonstrated experience with:

• Software development, including using integrated development environment (IDE) with object oriented design concepts to deliver and maintain software product;
• Using Java, source control systems, and continuous integration tools;
• Agile collaboration tools (JIRA and Confluence);
• Web Services technologies (REST, SOAP, and WSDL);
• Streaming technologies (Kafka and Pulsar);
• Using Linux/Unix environments;
• Highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems;
• GraphQL;
• Kubernetes;
• Cloud computing technology;
• AWS;
• JMS;
• Spring;
• Sprint Boot;
• Databases (SQL and NoSQL);
• MicroServices;
• Agile Scrum; and
• Application security.
