Mid-Senior QA Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Senior QA Engineer to support the quality of our iOS, Android, and Web applications. This person will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure every ticket has a clear test plan, definition of done, and validation path before release.

The QA Engineer must be comfortable working directly with code repositories, cloning projects locally, checking out feature branches, running applications in the correct environment, and validating changes before a pull request is merged.

Responsibilities

• Review Jira tickets to ensure each one has clear acceptance criteria, a test plan, and a definition of done.

• Use AI-native workflows to improve ticket clarity, identify missing test cases, detect risk areas, and strengthen QA coverage.

• Clone and run GitHub repositories locally for iOS, Android, and Web applications.

• Check out feature branches and perform QA directly on branch changes before PRs are merged.

• Validate that code changes do not introduce production risk, including regressions, broken flows, crashes, API issues, or platform-specific defects.

• Review GitHub pull requests from a QA perspective, including changed behavior, affected areas, and testing scope.

• Create and execute test plans for each Jira ticket, covering happy paths, edge cases, regression scenarios, and platform coverage.

• Use Firebase observability tools, including Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Analytics, and related dashboards, to identify errors before they reach production.

• Test APIs and backend integrations using Postman.

• Validate cross-device, cross-browser, and cross-platform behavior using BrowserStack.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design through Jira, GitHub, and Slack.

• Document bugs clearly with reproduction steps, expected behavior, actual behavior, logs, screenshots, device/browser details, branch name, commit/PR links, and environment information.

• Support release validation across iOS, Android, and Web.

• Continuously improve QA processes, regression coverage, and release confidence.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate is not only a manual QA tester, but a product-quality partner who can work directly with Jira tickets, GitHub branches, Firebase observability, Postman, BrowserStack, and AI tools.

They should help ensure every ticket is testable, every branch is validated before merge, and every release has a lower risk of production issues.

Requirements

3+ years of QA experience across mobile and web applications.

Strong experience testing iOS, Android, and Web products.

Comfortable using Git and GitHub, including cloning repositories, switching branches, pulling updates, and validating PR branches locally.

Ability to run applications locally using project setup documentation and environment configuration.

Experience creating test plans, test cases, regression suites, and definitions of done.

Familiarity with Firebase tools, especially Crashlytics, DebugView, Performance Monitoring, and Analytics.

Experience with Jira for ticket tracking and QA workflow management.

Experience using Postman for API testing.

Experience using BrowserStack or similar tools for device and browser validation.
