Position Title: Construction Management Representative (CMR)

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve – Barataria Preserve, LA

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with some flexibility for meetings and inspections. The CMR must be reachable during construction activities and after-hours for emergencies. 

Contract Period of Performance: Estimated November 2025 – January 2027


Position Summary: Aldevra is seeking an experienced Construction Management Representative (CMR) to provide on-site quality assurance and project oversight for a National Park Service (NPS) construction project: Trail Improvements at Barataria Preserve. The CMR will serve in an owner's representation role for the Government in monitoring the contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and environmental protections. This position is contingent upon contract award.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Serve as the on-site representative for the Government during all phases of construction.
  • Monitor contractor work for compliance with contract plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Review and manage submittals, RFIs, daily reports, and schedules.
  • Maintain detailed daily inspection reports and provide weekly progress reports with photos.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes for weekly progress meetings and other required meetings.
  • Track and manage deficiency/punch lists and coordinate inspections.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates, change proposals, and negotiation documents.
  • Review certified payrolls, conduct labor interviews, and ensure compliance with Davis-Bacon Act requirements.
  • Oversee project closeout activities including collection of as-builts, warranties, and final documentation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Security Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain government badge.

This position requires passing an extensive background check.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR 10+ years of relevant construction management experience.
  • Knowledge of boardwalk construction, pile installation, framing, carpentry, and top-down construction methods.
  • Experience working in ecologically sensitive areas (wetlands, erosion control).
  • Ability to analyze and review construction schedules (MS Project or Primavera).
  • Proficiency in Micros
