Description

  1. Carries out orders from the Department Supervisor and/or Leadperson A of particular functions associated with the Can Room
  2. Coordinates the functions of can hauling personnel and equipment.
  3. Adjusts daily inventories and deliveries as production needs dictate.
  4. Determines equipment flow for the daily production schedule.
  5. Records daily inventory adjustments in accordance with plant inventory personnel.
  6. Informs the Department Supervisor of any problems that may arise.
  7. Works with maintenance in scheduling proper preventative maintenance on the can room equipment.
  8. Reports any mechanical and/or safety issues to the Department Supervisor immediately.
  9. Responsible for physically lifting up to 100 pounds as required.
  10. Must be able to operate a forklift and an electric pallet jack.
  11. Completes the necessary paperwork needed within the area of responsibility.
  12. Responsible for direction and compliance of all employees; and housekeeping issues in the can receiving building.
  13. Adheres to common safety practices and regulations, including the wearing of protective clothing and equipment as required.
  14. Adheres to plant hygiene standards to ensure high product integrity.
  15. Keeps work area clean in accordance with good housekeeping practices.
  16. Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to:  GMP’s, HACCP, safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Leadperson A.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to communicate with management and co-workers
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed
  • Must have good attendance record
  • Safe work habits
