Job Summary:
The Senior Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master production schedule to support customer demand, operational efficiency, and business objectives. This role works cross-functionally with planning, production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure accurate scheduling, resource alignment, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement in scheduling processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• May provide functional guidance or mentorship to schedulers or planning staff
• Does not typically have direct people management responsibility unless otherwise assigned
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage, and maintain the master production schedule to align with customer demand, capacity, and inventory targets
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to balance demand and supply constraints
• Monitor material availability, capacity, and lead times to proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Analyze schedule performance, on-time delivery, and capacity utilization to drive improvements
• Lead or support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and demand planning activities
• Communicate schedule changes, risks, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders
• Continuously improve scheduling processes, tools, and data accuracy

Required Skills/Abilities:
• SAP experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills• Advanced knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and scheduling tools
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
• APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
• Ability to occasionally visit manufacturing or warehouse environments
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and electronically
