About the role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking a results-oriented Senior Manager, Member Lifecycle & Engagement to play a key role in driving member engagement and brand happiness. Reporting to the Senior Director, Membership Strategy & Engagement, this leadership role will focus on executing and optimizing member communications strategies, improving member satisfaction, and ensuring alignment with broader business goals. You will lead a team that focuses on implementing effective initiatives to engage members at every touchpoint, using data-driven insights to manage an evergreen calendar, lean into automation, and drive owned channels (email, push, in-app, sms, hardware notifications). If you are passionate about lifecycle marketing, member engagement, and retention, and have proven experience executing large-scale strategies, we encourage you to apply.

YOUR IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Lead end-to-end member engagement strategy, developing impactful and data-informed lifecycle communications that foster connection and community across the
member journey — from onboarding through long-term brand advocacy.
  • Own and evolve the member onboarding experience, partnering with Product, Content, and Creative to deliver dynamic, high-performing series that drive early activation and set the foundation for long-term engagement.
  • Drive channel-specific engagement strategies across Email, Push, In-App, SMS, and Hardware Notifications. Prioritize personalization, timeliness, and tone, using experimentation and automation to maximize channel impact.
  • Analyze and optimize engagement campaigns with a focus on how communications influence key member behaviors, including class frequency, content exploration, feature adoption, and habit formation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Content, Creative, and Community teams to tell compelling stories that celebrate member milestones, highlight instructor-led content, and reinforce brand identity.
  • Lead storytelling and brand-building initiatives that spotlight real member journeys, reinforce Peloton’s values, and foster a sense of belonging across diverse audiences.
  • Build and manage an evergreen engagement calendar, proactively surfacing key seasonal, cultural, and content moments to deepen emotional connection and excitement around Peloton's offerings.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation by testing new messaging formats, cadence strategies, and cross-channel engagement tactics. Leverage insights to inform creative direction and strategic planning.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing engagement team, fostering professional development, collaborative thinking, and a member-first mindset. Ensure alignment around shared KPIs and team goals.
  • Report regularly on campaign performance and engagement health, synthesizing
insights into actionable next steps. Partner with analytics to define success metrics and evaluate impact on business and brand objectives.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 5-6 years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle/CRM roles, or similar, with a track record of managing comprehensive campaigns across digital channels such as email, SMS, and push notifications.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading and mentoring teams, including managing and guiding direct reports to meet strategic objectives and improve performance.
  • Familiarity with the subscription business model and a deep understanding of the customer lifecycle. Extensive experience within the retention space.
  • Production and implementation of direct marketing programs across digital channels - email, SMS, in-app, push notifications. Experience with a physical hardware product a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Braze, Salesforce, Litmus, or similar tools. Proficiency in HTML and a deep understanding of best practices in email and digital design.
  • Solid understanding of data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, etc.) and ability to analyze campaign performance, derive insights from data, and adapt strategies to optimize results.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a rigorous approach to measuring and improving marketing performance.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to working across functions.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team, including mentoring junior and mid-level team members and planning for their professional growth.
