As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and/or escort duties as needed within the healthcare setting.
- Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to site and Allied Universal procedures.
- Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or providing directions to emergency personnel as required.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
