Key Responsibilities

·       Review and track medical records for compliancy within HER.·       Knowledge of NY laws regarding all types of Medical Record Release of Information.·       Maintain accurate records by following organization policies.·       Ensure patient charts, paperwork, and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.·       Keep all medical records confidential and protected.·       Upload any paper medical information in the HER chart timely and efficiently.·       Track provider visits, updating portal and tracking for compliancy.·       Issue onboarding staff user access to EHR.·       ICD – 10 coding of new admissions and readmissions.·       Schedule and track specialty provider visits for all
 residents
·      Collects required information from external services ·      Ordering of necessary supplies·      Receive all shipments of supplies·      Reconcile deliveries·      Transport all shipments to the appropriate department area·      Maintain inventory ·      Distribute supplies·      Obtain pricing quotes when needed·       Additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

·       Proven work experience in the Medical Records field.·       Advanced understanding of medical terminology.·       Proficient in information management programs and MS Office.·       Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.·       Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.·       Relevant training and certifications as a Medical Record Technician.·       Knowledge based with ICD-10 coding and PDPM.
·      Knowledge of billing·      Knowledge of keeping inventory records·      Knowledge of medical supplies
