The technician acts as a liaison between the customers and the company by providing exceptional customer service. This position interfaces with customers, our customer service department, and shop technicians with the department manager’s direction.
Earn up to $20/hr. depending on experience and qualifications.

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record over the past three (3) years
Complete assigned work according to schedule at various customer facilities
Operate, test, recharge, and inspect firefighting equipment to ensure functionality and compliance
Maintain all testing and recharging tools and equipment in proper working conditions
Accurately prepare and review invoices with customers; provide clear recommendations and service details
Identify, address, and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
Conduct semi annual inspections of kitchen suppression system
Inspect and perform repairs on exit and emergency lighting systems as needed
Deliver fire extinguisher training and safety education to customers
Participate in departmental, planning, and company-wide meetings as required
Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record in accordance with company compliance
QualificationsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record over the past three (3) years
Experience using hand tools in a mechanical or technical setting
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with common software applications
Ability to lift 75+ pounds safely and consistently
Capable of standing and walking for up to 8 hours during a work shift
Ability to safely work on ladders and at elevated heights as required
Preferred Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Proven problem solving skills with a proactive and solution focused mindset
Experience in sales and customer service, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player in a collaborative environment
Goals:
Must consistently meet service time standard goals as set by the company
Must obtain and maintain NAFED/ICC certification within the designated time frame (if not already certified)
Work Environment:
Work is performed offsite at customer facilities, which may include both clean and unclean conditions, and exposure to hot or cold environments
Company vehicles will be used to travel to and from job sites
Job duties may required extensive walking and climbing ladders throughout the workday
Outdoor work is often required and may involve varying weather conditions
Steel-toed boots and other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are required while on the job

Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week; overtime may be required based on workload and customer needs
Primary availability should be within the window of 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Must proactively communicate availability for early mornings, evenings or overnight work to the manager during weekly or bi-weekly scheduling periods
