The Work You Will Do:
This position is a Senior Management Analyst II – SES. This is a professional position with responsibility for maintaining the legal framework of the Florida Coastal Management Program (FCMP), for managing multiple activities that support and implement the FCMP, and for managing the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection’s (ORCP) participation in regulatory matters as they relate to ORCP-managed areas. The position reports directly to the Deputy Director with oversight of coordinating these programs. The individual in this position must have good interpersonal skills, exercise independent judgment, and ensure that work products are of the highest quality and comply with applicable state and federal statutes and rules. This position supervises two FTEs and one full-time OPS position.
The Difference You Will Make:
The FCMP is a complex interagency and intergovernmental state program involving policy issues and interactions with federal, state, and local agencies and other states. This position coordinates the interactions between state and federal agencies relating to the FCMP federal consistency process. Develops federal consistency procedures, statutory amendments, procedural rules and other program maintenance activities in consultation with the supervisor, State Clearinghouse, and the program attorney. This position oversees regulatory matters including coordinating permitting comments and public interest for ORCP-managed areas as well as providing regulatory technical assistance to ORCP staff outside and within the office, including but not limited to site visits, production of correspondence, memos, and guidance documents.
