Mission

Transaction Services (TS) is one of ING Wholesale Banking's (WB) main business lines. We offer a suite of local and global WB products and services to corporate and institutional clients. Transaction Services (TS) is a significant contributor to the growth and profitability of WB. Our strategy is aimed at ensuring that we continue to support sustained growth for the WB by delivering competitive and relevant TS products.

The Commercial Product Manager is responsible for unlocking business potential and activating new client/market opportunities for ING WB’s Corporate and Financial Institution customers operating in Romania.

The focus is on executing a strong commercial strategy aiming at stable and sustainable income flows. The Product Management team makes a difference for our clients by creating and offering best in class and fit-for purpose products and services while continuously improving our existing proposition as well as developing new products for our client base. That means taking market developments or client needs and translating those into concrete requirements for product development and enhancements, as well as formulating a view on how the organization will commercialize the enhanced product proposition. This role also entails a change management part, either in a leading a change or in supporting change activities.  

Your Day to Day

  • The Commercial Product Manager will report hierarchically to Manager Transaction Services Products & Channels and will be part of a local product management team, as well as of an international Product Management Network
  • Involved in product management, channels management, WB change management or documentation management
  • Represent the voice of the customer, have a strong vision on how to attract customers and focus on continuously improving the product experience
  • Contribute to Transaction Services sustainable performance and identify opportunities to better serve and delight our customers in daily collaboration with Sales, Client Services and the Sector organization.
  • Manage product strategy, design, commercial execution and life cycle, product performance and product P&L.
  • Create the product roadmap and product proposition, define the business requirements and translate them for other teams with the aim of developing and maintaining products and services.
  • Create and track business cases
  • Perform research on market, competition and customer
  • Create marketing, communication & customer satisfaction materials/ surveys
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and align with Product Management Network and local teams to ensure a successful delivery of product requirements (in the area of Payments, Cash and Liquidity, Digital Channels etc.)
  • Perform non-financial risk management (i.e., PARP, RCSA, product review, issues management, audits, key control testing etc.) and work with all stakeholders to make sure our products and services comply with regulations and policies.
  • Identify the data relevant for monitoring product performance, running business cases and other relevant activities
  • Maintain contact with external parties and stakeholders (suppliers, industry experts, consultants, regulators etc) and collect relevant industry-related trends and information
  • Participate in the planning, execution and monitoring of projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with company goals
