About the role
As an Associate Cloud Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Customer Engagement. You will learn the ins and outs of cost savings and infrastructure optimization of AWS environments. You will work with AWS and other Mission Cloud teams to help customers achieve maximum value from their AWS environments.
This is a 100% remote position.

Responsibilties
- Consult with customers with less complex environments to understand operational needs
- Provide personalized recommendations to optimize infrastructure performance and cost savings through tools like infrastructure health scorecards
- Configure and manage customer-facing cloud optimization tools
- Conduct regular ticket reviews under the supervision of Cloud Analysts for assigned Mission Cloud customers
- Manage the Cloud Foundation ticket flow and ensure customer requests are triaged appropriately; handle alert tickets as able
- Create usage analysis, trending and forecasting reports, and customer best practices for cloud adoption
- Review high-level backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts with customers
- Educate customers on current and new technologies and services, including Mission Cloud and AWS offerings
- Stay educated on cloud infrastructure, cost optimization, and operations trends and best practices; including the AWS Well-Architected framework
Requirements
- Ability to work in a cloud engineering or technical support role in AWS
- Knowledge of alerts, monitoring, and backup policies for production AWS workloads
- Knowledge of AWS best practices and the well-architected framework
- Understanding of AWS Best practices and how to provide recommendations to customers
- Ability to work in Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, or other customer-facing roles
- Familiarity with AWS Services and how they interact with each other, such as EC2, RDS, and S3
- Ability to use Excel for basic data management
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and CloudHealth Certification (required within first 90 days of employment with Mission Cloud)
