Business Operations Specialist

ICF is currently seeking a Business Operations Specialist to work on the OTIP/ORR Mission Support Project. The purpose of this project is to provide support to ORR in meeting their mission goals. This support covers a variety of activities across multiple divisions within each federal program.
The Business Operations Specialist will use his/her expertise to collect and analyze data, identify trends and outcomes, establish and maintain data visualization products, and data support for inquiry responses.
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of project support and coordination. The Business Operations Specialist will report to a divisional or bureau lead for supervision and assignments.
Positions will be fully remote, onsite embedded in the client site, and hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
ORR Business Operations Specialist responsibilities include:
- Support business operations in assigned unit.
- Prepare information request responses for approval by federal staff.
- Assist in data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting on information requests received.
- Support the implementation of the federal records management system.
- Engage in document review to determine compliance with statutes, regulations, agency policy and procedures, and contract/grant requirements related to document retention and storage for federally funded programs.
- Support the development of new records management processes and/or process for large-scale records collection.
- Maintain clear records of all project activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, business, social services, or related field which requires an understanding of business analysis.
- A minimum of 2 years professional business analysis experience, including quantitative and qualitative analysis. At least 1 year of experience with Office of Refugee Resettlement program experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with project staff and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree in social work, public administration, business, or other advanced degree in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with project staff and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of ORR mission and activities.
- Experience working for a refugee program.
- Proficient in use of Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar applications.
