Head of Strategic Sourcing

Gopuff is changing the world of instant commerce and is seeking a game changer to lead the strategic sourcing function. This role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and will be responsible for driving significant costs savings for the company’s indirect spend categories (i.e. IT/Engineering; Operations, Real Estate and Facilities; Marketing; General & Administrative). This role is for a “player coach” as you lead a team of talented category managers while also rolling up the sleeves and driving cost savings and enhanced supplier accountability.

You Will:

• Lead a team of talented sourcing category managers
• Partner with key leaders to identify business needs; and collaborate with suppliers to ensure those needs are met through strategic sourcing.
• Evaluate sourcing processes and present improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
• Analyze and calculate procurement costs and develop cost-reduction strategies.
• Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality while working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with merchandising and supply chain teams to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
• Estimate risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques, as well as negotiate contracts that comply with industry regulations.
• Negotiate best possible cost service guarantees and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.) while driving increased supplier accountability.
• Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the organization.

You Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or logistics required.
• Expertise in advanced procurement management and strategic sourcing.
• 8-10+ years of procurement experience in a related industry.
• Willingness to travel to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven accountability on high-stakes projects.
• Relentlessly high standards and high attention to detail.

Compensation:

• Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. • Remote - Salary Range (varies based on a cost of labor index for geographic area within United States): USD $127,700 - USD $202,900
