Advanced TA Setup

Allied is currently looking for an individual to set-up, operate and inspect Walter grinders producing Advanced TA and Off-loaded Rapid Response geometries.

Requirements

• Set-up and opererate Walter Finish Grind 5 axis grinders on all standard product geometries and any off-loaded Raid Response geometries.
• Perform advanced inspections for all standard and special geometries, including Contracers, Camera, POM Basic, Optical comparator, Micrometers and Indicators.
• Troubleshoot quality, mechanical, and programming issues with support groups.
• Create part programs utilizing blueprints and data files for standard & special geometries.
• Perform wheel truing on all standard wheel sets, online and offline. Establish wheels on machine for truing, build new wheel stacks.
• Run production based on demand using ALPS schedule.
• Maintain production to the standard for the area.
• Observe and report all areas that need adressed.
• Work in a safe manner.
• Correct reporting of job transactions.
• Fill out NCR for blades that do not meet our quality standard.
• Follow inspection plans for all geometries produced.
• Read and understand blueprints, standard and special geometries.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent

Experience:

• One year working knowledge of finish grinding operations preferred
• Experience with measuring equipment
• One year of CNC equipment set-up preferred

• Detail oriented and organizational skills
• Multitasking
• Basic math skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Able to be on your feet for the majority of your shift.
• Able to lift 32 lbs.
