The Finance team at HPE provides world class decision support driving profitable growth and exceptional shareholder value through our commitment to operational excellence, people development, and innovation. HPE GreenLake is a portfolio of cloud and as-a-service solutions that helps simplify and accelerate our customer’s business. It delivers a cloud experience wherever apps and data live – edge, data center, colos, and public clouds. Available on a pay-as-you-go basis, HPE GreenLake runs on an open and more secure edge-to-cloud platform with the flexibility needed to open up new opportunities.
We partner with the GreenLake business to define and monitor financial metrics that express business performance. We gather financial data and perform financial analyses and reporting (e.g., Gross Revenue, Lease Charges, other profit and loss, some pricing, etc.) to influence decisions within the business. We drive the forecasting process (weekly, monthly, quarterly and long term) by analysing trends and ensuring alignment with business- and corporate-wide objectives. Work includes Embedded Lease checklist approvals (ELCAFs), Revenue
Recognition checklists (RRCs), researching and pulling reporting from systems (Compass, S4, BOE, etc.) to prepare Actuals and Flash reporting for GreenLake Net Revenue. Working with GSAO team to prepare necessary entries into Compass. Reviewing revenue plans and lease charges to determine if changes are needed. Work on variance analysis explanations for Actuals and Flash. US based position is responsible for Federal, State, Local and some Education related accounts as well as some Commercial accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides financial analysis for the North America GreenLake business.
Establishes and maintains relationships with partner organizations (Sol Ops, FS, GRRO, GSAO, Delivery) and business leaders to guide and influence decision-making.
Provides analytics to GreenLake initiatives.
Supports policy and process improvement and identifies opportunities.
Identifies issues and proposes solutions.
Represents finance on cross- functional teams.
Provides mentoring and guidance to analysts.
Requirements:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; preferably Accounting or Finance.
Typically, 4+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
Services experience is a plus.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
Intermediate understanding of financial systems and processes.
Excellent teamwork skills
Good business acumen.
