Join Aprio's Outsourced Accounting team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities.  Aprio, LLP is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Property Tax Associate to join their dynamic team. 
As a Senior Property Tax Associate at Aprio, you will play a pivotal role in managing property tax compliance and consulting services for our clients. You will be responsible for producing property tax returns, conducting thorough reviews, and providing valuable insights to ensure clients maximize their tax benefits while remaining compliant with state, county, and local regulations. 

Position responsibilities:

• Property Tax Return Preparation: Produce property tax returns for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and state regulations. 
• Tax Assessment Reviews: Review property tax assessments to identify potential discrepancies, errors, and opportunities for tax savings. Develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities. 
• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and building strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction. 
• Data Analysis: Analyze property-related data, market trends, and appraisal reports to support accurate tax assessments and identify potential areas for tax reduction. 
• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and advise clients on any relevant updates. 
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized records of property tax documents and prepare detailed reports summarizing tax returns, assessments, and related findings. 
• Appeals and Disputes: Assist clients in property tax appeals and disputes, collaborating with legal teams when necessary to achieve favorable outcomes. 
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including tax consultants, assessors, and legal experts, to provide comprehensive property tax solutions. 
• Client Education: Educate clients on property tax issues, strategies, and best practices to empower them with the knowledge to make informed decisions. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA designation is a plus). 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property tax compliance and consulting. 
• Strong knowledge of property tax laws, regulations, and assessment practices. 
• Proficiency in property tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
• Strong communication and client management skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
